Privacy Policy

ApplicatorReady ("we", "us") is an independent pesticide-applicator exam-prep study aid. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: support@applicatorready.com.

Information we collect

Account

• Your email address (used for passwordless sign-in).
• Optional details you choose to add — a display name, and your state, license type, or exam category.

Study activity

• Diagnostic and practice sessions, your answers and confidence ratings, bookmarks, your spaced-review schedule, calculation-lab attempts, and any exam date and reminder preference you set.
• Issue reports you submit on a question.

Subscription

• Your plan and subscription status, so we know whether you have Pro. When paid plans go live, card details are handled by our payment processor — we never see or store full card numbers.

Product analytics

We log privacy-conscious usage events (for example, "started a session" or "completed a calculation") with non-sensitive properties only. We do not put your answer content, personal notes, or email into analytics.

Cookies & local storage

• ar_session — a secure, httpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in (about 30 days).
• ar_anon — a random id (about 1 year) used for privacy-conscious analytics before you sign in.
• Your themepreference, and a temporary copy of an in-progress guest diagnostic, are stored in your browser's local storage; the diagnostic copy is cleared once it is saved to your account.
• Advertising cookies set by Google on ad-supported pages — see "Advertising" below.

How we use your information

• Run your account and keep you signed in.
• Compute your topic mastery, readiness, and study plan.
• Send transactional email — your sign-in link, plus billing and reminder notices you opt into.
• Manage subscriptions and access.
• Diagnose errors and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Free and signed-out users may see ads on content pages (study guides, state-requirement pages, and the dashboard). Pro subscribers never see ads, and we never show ads during the diagnostic, practice or timed exams, calculation tools, sign-in, checkout, or billing.

Ads are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or use identifiers to measure and — with consent — personalize ads. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we use Google's certified consent tool, so personalized ads run only with your consent. You can manage ad personalization at google.com/settings/ads and learn more from Google's advertising policies.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the service:

• Supabase — database hosting for your account and study data.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email.
• Google AdSense — advertising on free-tier pages (see above).
• Sentry — error monitoring, configured to exclude personal data.
• AWS Amplify — application hosting and content delivery.
• A payment processor (Stripe) will handle card payments when paid plans go live.

Data retention

We keep your account and study data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and study progress; some records may persist briefly in backups before rotating out.

Your choices & rights

• Access & export:download your data anytime from Account → Data & privacy.
• Deletion: delete your account and all progress from the same place.
• Email: unsubscribe from non-essential email anytime.
• Ads: manage personalization via the Google link above.
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your data. Email support@applicatorready.comand we'll help.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), session cookies are httpOnly and secure, and we enforce a strict content-security policy. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

ApplicatorReady is for working adults pursuing professional certification and is not directed to children.
